Furnishings in the Surgeons' Quarters are original pieces of the period 1830-1850 when the U.S. Army occupied the fort. Collections include surgical and dental instruments and the original military surgeon's operating table; desks, wardrobes and other furniture made by soldiers of the fort and the carved wooden eagle from the fort gate; bedroom, sitting room, and kitchen pieces of the period. Other collections of interest are quilts, samplers and other textiles, and antique dolls.
